A northern electronic forest is their home. Clouds made of soundscapes, cutting lightning beats and spellbinding vocals. After stints in Helsinki, Oslo, and Bergen, Hanna & Kerttu is now a Berlin-based project, that combines surreal, otherworldly atmospheres with electronic beats and catchy melodies.
The project was founded by composer and singer Victoria Trunova. The Finnish name is a variation on the Brothers Grimm fairy tale Hansel and Gretel and means ‘Hanna & Gretel’. Their last album FOREST POP was recorded at Kaiku Studios in Berlin, produced by Jonas Verwijnen (DENA, The Whitest Boy Alive, Moonface) and mastered by Pete Maher (Lana Del Rey, Jack White).
Now the band shatters former musical bridges in order to take the line of new electronic spheres, simultaneously growing deeper roots into cool sound architecture. Hanna & Kerttu are currently working on new material.
